Kate and Eddie’s wedding was just amazing. It was a hot glorious sunny day where their wedding was set in the beautiful Southern Highland Wines vineyard in the Southern Highlands. And the sunset was just amazing, you will see what I mean with the images below. To top it of, I had the pleasure of getting to know this fun loving kind humble couple who immensely love each other. The bridal party were funny and relaxed. It was a day to remember forever. I love all the images we created together and hope you do too. Thank you for inviting me into your magical world for the day, I loved every second of it!
Kate and Eddie’s wedding was held at the Southern Highland Wines.
Recently I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Jemma and Simon’s wedding at the Southern Highland Wines. It was such a wonderful glorious hot day, the sky were blue and the ceremonial area was decorated with beautiful smelling lavender, purple balloons, vintage decorations and wine barrels all set at one beautiful vineyard in the Southern Highlands.
Jemma contacted me about photographing her wedding as her fiancé’s best friend had recommended me. You see, four years ago I had photographed John and Helen’s wedding at the Briars Country Lodge.
Jem & Sy are such a beautiful couple. It was touching to see the love and emotion during the ceremonial vows. They love and care for each other dearly and to see the expressions of their parents face – they were so proud of their children and delighted that today had come.
In all, their wedding day was a spectacular fun filled event, lots of laughter, funny speeches and crazy dancing and I was just delighted and honoured to be their wedding photographer.
Thanks so much for having me as a part of your day and I wish you all the very best for the future and look forward to designing your beautiful wedding album which will retell the story of your wedding day xx Di

I truly believe it is important to have a wedding album – it is precious heirloom for your family. With wedding albums, they are a way to tell YOUR story. Each image is carefully selected, edited and arranged in a manner that compliments the flow of the day while telling the beautiful story of the start of your family.
I am a proud supplier of some gorgeous Australian made wedding albums. Pictured below is a one of my recent wedding couple’s wedding album which I designed on their behalf. This bespoke wedding album is 14″x14″ Designer and is made from genuine black leather. It incorporates both mat style pages and flush-mount pages. It provides an elegant and formal environment for image presentation. The rounded library binding provides a subtle reminder of quality and craftsmanship. The benefit of this style of album is the design and how it ensures that the pages lay flat regardless of where the book is opened or how many pages it contains. A special lip mechanism joins the entire length of the facing pages of the album which eliminates lateral movement between pages and minimises wear and tear on the page surface. The pages are archival quality and guaranteed. All albums come in an album box to ensure the longevity of the album.
So if you are two minds of getting an album, think about how the rate of technology is flying by, will DVD and USB’s be able to play and perform? While with an album, it will be a cherished keepsake used many times throughout your lifetime, reminiscing your marriage on your anniversary, showing your future children and grandchildren the family and who was present on your special day. I urge you to not only think about today, but to think about the future and what it would mean for your children and grandchildren to have such a wonderful family heirloom to cherish and pass down.
There are many ways to design an album to retell your wedding story. Come and visit our studio to see the whole range of custom made quality wedding albums (designer, lay flat, mat styled, flush mount, magazine and photo books). You won’t be disappointed.
In the meantime, check out the album below! Love to hear your thoughts. x Di
They say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day.
Well Celia and Clint’s magical day was indeed very wet but it was one to not forget for many reasons.
Celia is a beautiful caring young lady and Clint is a gentleman. They compliment each other.
I had the absolute pleasure meeting them some years ago when Celia’s family hired me to photograph their family portrait. I was so honoured to be asked to photograph their wedding day.
Earlier in the year you might have seen their e’session photographs taken on a winery in Joadja.
They had planned to get married here but due to the wet conditions, their ceremony was relocated at the last minute to the Gibraltar Hotel in Bowral.
Civil celebrant Nina de Borde conducted a beautiful ceremony.
While family and friends enjoyed canapes and each other’s company, we (bridal party and myself) decided to venture out in the wet and head out to their friend’s winery.
Such a beautiful spot and great for photographing those dramatic shots. Check out below.
Thanks C&C and your bridal party for an amazing fun filled day. I look forward to one day designing a wedding album to retell your beautiful wedding story
kindest regards x Di
Despite experiencing a day which didn’t stop raining, I mean torrential rain – this lovely bridal party knew how to still have fun.
Thank you for allowing me to take you out in the rain, get a bit wet whilst sharing some jokes together – we did have a lot of fun!
Family photo sessions are great for all ages, occasions and times of the year. I love photographing those special moments of families being together. The Lyons family did just that to mark a special occasion. You see it was Tracy and her husband’s 30 year wedding anniversary, and their children gave this family photo portrait session as an anniversary gift. Despite being one of the coldest winter’s days in the Southern Highlands in history, the Lyons clan braved the bitterly cold conditions (and I mean bitterly cold it was 8 degrees with severe wind chill) but we all managed to get the job done while laughing, smiling, cracking a joke or two, cuddling and some times we were jogging on the spot to keep warm (as we all wished we were in the Bahamas or somewhere nice and warm than outside). Thanks for a lovely session. x DW.
