The Southern Highlands is a beautiful region no matter what season it is. Caroline & Chris chose the Gibraltar Hotel for their beautiful winter wedding celebrations. This luxurious hotel is in the heart of the Southern Highlands which has an 18 hole golf course, indoor pool and other facilities.
It was a brisk morning, dew on the leaves a bit overcast but still so pleasant. Their close family and friends joined them at St Jude’s in Bowral for their intimate wedding ceremony followed by their reception at Gibraltar Hotel Bowral.
Location shots were taken in and around Burradoo as well as on the golf course at Gibraltar Hotel.
Thank you C&C for a lovely wedding, it was an honour to capture this special moment in your lives. All the best.
Here are some gorgeous photographs of Rowan and Edwina with their two daughters. We did their family portrait shoot at Mansfield Reserve, East Bowral in the Southern Highlands. It was such a fun shoot, lots of smiles and laughter.
Mansfield Reserve is a great location with some beautiful gum trees and long grass. It is an ideal place as it is quite secluded. A perfect opportunity to have some fun with the family, go for a walk, soak up the beauty and peacefulness of this special place while all being captured on camera.
If you would like us to capture some beautiful family photos around the Bowral area please get in touch! We love doing outdoor photo shoots and capturing the smiles and fun of your family.
The latest craze to celebrate your first birthday is to have a cake smash photo session. Miss Indi gave me all. Despite being a bit hesitant at first, which is natural, after some encouragement by her mum and aunty, she gave us many beautiful smiles and laughter after she realised that you can squash, poke and pat her specially made birthday cake and of course eat it. After that, she was not fazed of making a mess. She had so much fun and it was delight watching her enjoying herself. Thanks to her parents for letting me capture these cute fun moments which they will cherish forever. A big thanks goes to Katie Ingmire for baking the beautiful cake. x Di
Looking for a beautiful venue to get married? The Briars in Bowral is set on 15 acres of rural countryside and is a superb venue for a romantic country wedding. Set apart by tranquil gardens, rural surroundings and elegant atmosphere, this is the place where Marianne and Kyle celebrated their wedding reception.
You might have remembered a recent engagement session post of Marianne and Kyle at North Wollongong. Well today was their wedding day.
Here in the Southern Highlands, we were very lucky to experience one of the most gorgeous sunny and warm autumn day’s in a long time. The sun was out all day which was a pleasant delight.
Marianne and Kyle got ready at the Briars in Bowral among their dearest friends and parents. I love this venue for its beauty and versatility, so many beautiful back drops, a photographer’s dream.
Their ceremony was held at one of my favourite churches, St Francis Xavier Church in Berrima. I just love its history and the beautiful sandstone walls.
Their ceremony was unique and special to them, which involved Filipino traditions of the cord, veil and candle ceremony. Just beautiful and touching to see.
Location shots were taken in the township of Berrima, at the courthouse and surroundings before heading back to the Briars for their reception.
Thanks M&K for the many laughs were had with your fun bridal party. Enjoy the viewing. x DW
Another amazing year, filled with fun, laughter and joy. It has been one busy year I must say and the people who know me so well, I wouldn’t have changed it for the world. I love my job.
I look back and can’t quite believe how much I actually did and achieved.
I am really looking forward to this year.
Very excited this morning when I opened up a delivery and found a client’s custom made black genuine 13×13 wedding album. I can’t wait for my clients K&T to see it, but I have to be patience until they return from overseas to hear their comments.
This month’s Highlife magazine, featuring Dianna Watson Photography – three couple’s weddings!

Katie and Will were married at St Francis Xavier Church Berrima and reception held at Centennial Vineyards Restaurant-Bowral
I am so relaxed and can’t believe I am back in the studio. The family and I had a wonderful time visiting friends and family in Adelaide and then exploring the FlindersRanges, Arkaroola, part of the Strzelecki Track to Cameron’s Corner. That was some road to travel on. Eight hours of bumpiness, my legs were like jelly after that day’s drive!
Our children explore the harshness of our beautiful continent, saw magnificent birdlife, and were even entertained by computer games and movies. On the homebound, we ventured to Broken Hill, visited the Pro Hart’s studio gallery. The kids including myself enjoyed a spider milkshake from a well known milk bar, met so many nice people and then we came home to the Southern Highlands.
Busy couple of months until Christmas!
Sunrise shot taken (our first day at Rawnsley Park station, Flinders Ranges)
Our first night at Rawnsley Park station we experienced a severe thunderstorm and 100 km winds. It was an enjoyable night. My husband and I frantically tried to keep the tent upright, the canopy couldn’t stand the pressure of the rainfall. We are glad to say that the kids slept right through it.
With my gorgeous little girl (well she isn’t little anymore.. nearly 9) but she is still my baby!
The kids exploring.

Amanda and Leo did just that. They were married at St Jude’s Anglican Church in Bowral with their reception held at the notable Centennial Vineyards Restaurant.
I love the autumn colours which come out during this time in the Southern Highlands. The Centennial Vineyards wines are renown in the region and the venue hosts weddings all year round.
Amanda and Leo’s wedding was simply amazing. I was honoured to be part of their day and witnessing two lovely people, so in love, stating their vows and exchanging rings.
Amanda is just gorgeous, inside and out. Leo is a charming gentleman. Together they compliment each other so well and I felt like I had known them for years.
