Bendooley Estate is an ideal wedding venue located in a quaint township called Berrima in the Southern Highlands in NSW. The gorgeous venue houses a barn, homestead, vineyard, new cellar door and beautiful gardens – it is a bridal couple’s dream location. This place is so amazing as no matter what season it is, this venue can cater for all elements of the weather. Natalie just fell in love with this place and knew straight away that this was the place for their wedding day.
Natalie and Daniel are two of the most lovely people I have met! Relaxed, fun, just beautiful. Nothing could have wiped the smiles of their faces on their wedding day. Their ceremony was conducted by Sue Jackman among family and close friends. The weather was a gorgeous spring sunny day – a perfect time to get married in the Southern Highlands.
After the official ceremony, everyone came together to enjoy the great food, great wine and dancing. Everyone was on the dance floor celebrating, and I mean everyone!
The sunset was just beautiful, ready to set in the distance hills. It had a warm honey glow.
Natalie and Daniel – Thank you so much for choosing me to be a part of your celebrations. x

They say it’s good luck if it rains on your wedding day.
Well Celia and Clint’s magical day was indeed very wet but it was one to not forget for many reasons.
Celia is a beautiful caring young lady and Clint is a gentleman. They compliment each other.
I had the absolute pleasure meeting them some years ago when Celia’s family hired me to photograph their family portrait. I was so honoured to be asked to photograph their wedding day.
Earlier in the year you might have seen their e’session photographs taken on a winery in Joadja.
They had planned to get married here but due to the wet conditions, their ceremony was relocated at the last minute to the Gibraltar Hotel in Bowral.
Civil celebrant Nina de Borde conducted a beautiful ceremony.
While family and friends enjoyed canapes and each other’s company, we (bridal party and myself) decided to venture out in the wet and head out to their friend’s winery.
Such a beautiful spot and great for photographing those dramatic shots. Check out below.
Thanks C&C and your bridal party for an amazing fun filled day. I look forward to one day designing a wedding album to retell your beautiful wedding story
kindest regards x Di
Despite experiencing a day which didn’t stop raining, I mean torrential rain – this lovely bridal party knew how to still have fun.
Thank you for allowing me to take you out in the rain, get a bit wet whilst sharing some jokes together – we did have a lot of fun!
Looking for a beautiful venue to get married? The Briars in Bowral is set on 15 acres of rural countryside and is a superb venue for a romantic country wedding. Set apart by tranquil gardens, rural surroundings and elegant atmosphere, this is the place where Marianne and Kyle celebrated their wedding reception.
You might have remembered a recent engagement session post of Marianne and Kyle at North Wollongong. Well today was their wedding day.
Here in the Southern Highlands, we were very lucky to experience one of the most gorgeous sunny and warm autumn day’s in a long time. The sun was out all day which was a pleasant delight.
Marianne and Kyle got ready at the Briars in Bowral among their dearest friends and parents. I love this venue for its beauty and versatility, so many beautiful back drops, a photographer’s dream.
Their ceremony was held at one of my favourite churches, St Francis Xavier Church in Berrima. I just love its history and the beautiful sandstone walls.
Their ceremony was unique and special to them, which involved Filipino traditions of the cord, veil and candle ceremony. Just beautiful and touching to see.
Location shots were taken in the township of Berrima, at the courthouse and surroundings before heading back to the Briars for their reception.
Thanks M&K for the many laughs were had with your fun bridal party. Enjoy the viewing. x DW
Last weekend I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Adrian and Vera’s wedding day at the National Carillon. The National Carillon, situated on Aspen Island in central Canberra. It is a striking 50 metre tall architecture landmark which also has an impressive musical instrument with 55 bronze bells.
The weather was simply superb and Adrian was holding back the emotions when he saw his bride to be Vera walking down the aisle with his grandfather.
After the ceremony and family photographs on Aspen Island, we head to the Yarralumla Yacht Club for their wedding reception.
Thank you for an amazing day, I had so much fun capturing all those special important moments for you to cherish forever. xx
Looking for a magical venue for your wedding? Look no further as the Centennial Vineyards Restaurant in Bowral, Southern Highlands is a beautiful venue to host your special wedding day’s reception.
Amanda and Leo did just that. They were married at St Jude’s Anglican Church in Bowral with their reception held at the notable Centennial Vineyards Restaurant.
I love the autumn colours which come out during this time in the Southern Highlands. The Centennial Vineyards wines are renown in the region and the venue hosts weddings all year round.
Amanda and Leo’s wedding was simply amazing. I was honoured to be part of their day and witnessing two lovely people, so in love, stating their vows and exchanging rings.
Amanda is just gorgeous, inside and out. Leo is a charming gentleman. Together they compliment each other so well and I felt like I had known them for years.
We had so much fun. I will never forget what an amazing day it was, capturing those special and funny moments which unfolded.
Thank you for trusting me to capture your special day. And I look forward to working with you both to design a truly gorgeous wedding album which retells your beautiful wedding story.
